1988	Definition of Commercial Motor Vehicles	Recommended that all federal laws concerning the definition of motor vehicles be standardized to GVWR in excess of 26,000 lbs and send this resolution to the Secretary of Transportation for dissemination to the Administrator of NHTSA and Congress	Still in effect

	1992 Federal Anti-Car Theft Act	Support the national efforts to curtail motor vehicle theft by the use of force and use Operation C.A.R.E. Members to educate the public on preventing it	Still in effect
	Cultural Diversity Public Awareness Programs	Encourage law enforcement agencies to develop public awareness programs to specifically address diverse cultures within their jurisdictions	Still in effect

	Increased Penalties for Vehicle Pursuits	Support legislation for increased penalties for violations committed while attempting to evade arrest by failing to comply with the order of a police officer to stop and to make a second or subsequent conviction of such crime a felony	Still in effect
	Truck Tire and Rim Safety Standards	Support petition #2696 submitted to NHTSA by the Pennsylvania State Police and Pennsylvania DOT regarding additional regulations and safety standards for new and retreaded commercial vehicle tires and wheel/rim securement systems	Still in effect
	North American Free Trade Agreement Enforcement Considerations	Encourage participants to activity enforce laws regulating the operation of commercial vehicles at levels consistent with the increase in commercial vehicle traffic brought about by the NAFTA agreement	Still in effect
